Australian exclusive un-peated single cask bottling, cask number 1833, selected and bottled for Australia only.
The un-peated spirit spent 7 years in a single first-fill American oak ex-bourbon cask, and was matured in the underground cellar at the distillery, so it's a more gentle and slow maturation compared to the above ground warehouse, but is still pretty rapidly & intensely matured compared to Scotland thanks to the climate in Goa. So it drinks far beyond its 7 years of age as you know.
The cask yielded 180 bottles at a cask strength of 60%, naturally coloured and non-chill filtered like all of our single malts.
My tasting notes: on the nose it's very gentle and inviting , with heavily toasted marshmallows and sweet mango, and a nice kick of spice and buttery oak. On the palate it's turned up the volume, but is still very drinkable. Loads of toasted marshmallows again, with sweet mango & banana, more oak, salted butter and a hint of charred wood smoke despite being an un-peated whisky.
